Whether you've read every page, are still making your way through the book, or are simply curious about the story, you'll find a welcoming space to create, connect and be inspired.
What is Brush & Book Club?
More than a workshop.
Brush & Book Club is a monthly creative gathering where literature and watercolour come together. Each session is thoughtfully designed to celebrate a shared love of stories, giving you the opportunity to connect with fellow readers while creating an original artwork inspired by the month's Book of the Month.
Whether you come to learn, unwind or simply spend a few hours immersed in creativity, you'll find a welcoming table waiting for you.

What to Expect?
Read
Our Book of the Month is announced in advance, giving you time to enjoy the story before we gather. Reading beforehand is encouraged, but never essential.
Create
Paint an original watercolour artwork inspired by the month's story with gentle, step-by-step guidance from artist Sarah Martin
Connect
Enjoy a relaxed morning of creativity, conversation and delicious refreshments in the company of fellow readers and makers.
Take Home
Leave with your finished artwork, a Reader's Gift and memories of a morning well spent.

Whether you're an avid reader, a seasoned artist or trying watercolour for the very first time, Brush & Book Club is designed to be accessible, encouraging and enjoyable.
Come on your own or bring a friend. No previous painting experience is needed, just a willingness to try something new.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to finish the Book of the Month?
Not at all. Reading the book beforehand will enrich the experience, but it's by no means essential. Whether you've finished every chapter or are simply curious about the story, you'll still enjoy creating alongside us.
I'm new to watercolour. Can I still join?
Absolutely. Every project is guided step by step and designed to be enjoyable for beginners while still offering something for more experienced painters.
What if I miss a month?
Many of our past Brush & Book Club experiences are preserved as part of our growing Brush & Book Archives, allowing you to enjoy them whenever you're ready.
